The Edge

The Edge is a group of uniquely designed “West Coast” themed chalets located in Happy Valley at Big White Ski Resort. 

These ski chalets are characterized by their striking inverted roof lines and vaulted ceilings. The main living, kitchen and entertaining hub of The Edge homes are surrounded by floor to ceiling windows that showcase the breathtaking mountain views. All of the properties are tastefully decorated in a contemporary, luxury style. 

These units come in a few sizes from smaller 2100-square foot, four-bedroom homes that sleep between 10-13 people, to larger units with 4000-square feet of space that can sleep up to 18 guests. These larger chalets also have their own elevators, pool tables and media rooms. All of these properties have heated garages, private hot tubs, gas fireplaces, steam showers, a large BBQ on one of the numerous private decks, heated bathroom flooring, as well as geothermal heating systems throughout the building. 

Ski-in and ski-out access is conveniently just steps away from your door. Lara’s Gondola in Happy Valley is also only a few hundred feet away, giving you close access to the Village Centre. Happy Valley itself is the hub of family activities on the mountain with restaurants and bars, an ice skating rink, a tube park and many more activities.

Big White Rentals FAQs

Most vacation rentals in Big White include your own private hot tub and private deck with a BBQ.

Big White’s vertical is 777 meters, or 2,550 feet, measured from the base of the resort to the top of Big White Mountain, which is accessed via the T-bar.

Hiking and mountain biking:

Big White mountain has a network of scenic hiking and downhill biking trails for all skill levels. For beginner mountain bikers, there’s a new skills development park in Happy Valley.

Scenic chairlift rides:

During summer you can take a leisurely ascent to the top of the mountain for breathtaking views of the mountains and the valley below.

Disc Golf:

Big white has a fun and accessible 9-hole disc golf course that’s free for all guests. You can rent discs at the Village Centre Mall or from Globe Cafe.
